Sixers fans, you the real MVP

This was quite an amazing week.

Besides the Sixers getting the #3 pick in the draft, the 2nd annual RTRS/Liberty Ballers lottery party took place.

Fortunately/unfortunately, I missed the party, as I was up in New York for the lottery. While I genuinely enjoy covering basketball and going to basketball events, I felt like I missed something special. Heck, I know I missed something special because I was at the party last year, which had about half as many people. This party was epic.

Just to recap, even though you already know all of this:

Seriously, just the fact that 500 people decided to show up for a 4 minute lottery unveiling is amazing, and one of the coolest experiences I’ve ever even tangentially been associated with.

All the credit, from our side, goes to Spike and Mike, as it was really their party. So thank you Spike, and Mike, and anybody who has ever been part of the staff that has made LibertyBallers so great over the years. Thank you to any of the media outlets who covered the party.

Most importantly, though, thank you to all the crazy, diehard, wonderful Philadelphia 76ers fans. It makes this thing so much more than just typing words about a basketball team.
