- Miami beat Phoenix (good): The Suns lost once again, and despite the Lakers’ ineptitude remain just 2 games ahead of them in the standings. The challenge: find 2 wins in the Lakers’ remaining schedule.
- Golden State beat Dallas (bad): The Dallas loss keeps them only 3 wins up on the Kings, which should be enough.
- San Antonio beat Minnesota (bad): The Wolves loss means they’re only a win up on the Kings with the 8th worst record.
- New Orleans beat Memphis (good): The Pelicans win gives them 30 on the season, which should be enough of a cushion to remain ahead of Sacramento.
