Welcome back to your daily Sixers draft pick tracker.

Summary:
The Magic, Sixers, Kings, and Knicks all played last night. The Magic, Sixers, Kings, and Knicks all lost last night. So, despite all teams being in action, there was absolutely no change to either the standings or the lottery odds. Had things shaken different, the Sixers could have jumped from having 141 lottery ball combinations 182, but here we are.

2017 Draft Pick Tracker – Summary

Pick Place GB (from 2nd) Games Left Notes
Lakers 2nd 11 44.2% chance at conveying
Sixers 5th 6.5 11 88 lottery combinations
Kings t6th 7.5 11 53 lottery combinations

Yesterday’s results:

  • OKC beat Philadelphia (good): The Sixers got Russell Westbrook’d, which had the chance to push them into the 4th worst record depending on what Orlando did …
  • Milwaukee beat Sacramento (good): The Kings losing, like the Sixers, had the chance to tie them in the win column with the Magic, or at least break the tie with the Knicks, depending on the outcome of those games…
  • Charlotte beat Orlando (bad): But Orlando lost. A real missed opportunity for Sixers’ lottery odds.
  • Utah beat New York (bad): Worse, the Knicks lost as well. This was expected, but a Knicks win would have broken that tie for the 6th worst record.

Tonight’s games:

  • Phoenix @ Brooklyn (go Nets):  Phoenix losses keep them “close” to the Lakers (even if I struggle to see the Lakers winning 2 games from here on out).
  • LAC @ Dallas (go Mavs): Dallas is 3 wins up on the Kings, so this shouldn’t matter, but there’s no cost to making that 4.
  • New York @ Portland (go Knicks): Another big game for the Knicks, who are tied with the Kings for the 6th worst record. Portland has been playing better basketball of late, and a road back-to-back game will be tough for the Knicks to overcome.

Current combined odds for Sixers/Kings pick swap:

  • #1 pick: 14.1% (no change since yesterday)
  • Top-3 pick: 44.0% (no change since yesterday)
  • Two top-5 picks: 29.6% (no change since yesterday)
