Here’s a collection of some of the best Sixers stories published over the weekend.
- Keith Pompey reported that a league executive told him that the guy the Sixers want in the draft is Ohio State’s D’Angelo Russell. The fit makes sense, as Russell is a highly touted prospect who fits a position (and skill set) of need for the Sixers, but I would take any rumor, from any reporter, with a grain of salt at this time of the year. There’s inception level misdirection that’s going to be going on over the next few months. [philly.com]
- Max Rappaport caught up with Nerlens Noel, who went over to the Philippines for the Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA National Training Camp, to talk about Noel’s goals during the upcoming season and fitting in with Nerlens Noel. [Soundcloud.com]
- John Gonzalez of CSNPhilly release v1.0 of big board for the 2015 draft. Top 3: Karl-Anthony Towns, Jahlil Okafor, and D’Angelo Russell. [csnphilly.com]
- Phil Anastasia of the Philadelphia Inquirer caught up with 76ers assistant, and New Jersey native, Billy Lange. [philly.com]
- Tom Moore says that if the Sixers want Brett Brown here in the long term, they should start talking contract extension. Brown just finished up the 2nd year of a 4 year contract. (note: subscription required) [theintell.com]
